Stewardship at Intercession is much more than keeping a close eye on the bottom line. It is part of our mission to be good stewards of our parish well-being and a community model of good stewardship of our planet. Our activities keep our eyes not only on staying healthy financially but on the bigger prize of staying healthy globally.
Recycling - We have contracted with an outside company to recycle anything except plastic bags, styrofoam, garbage and food scraps. By placing boxes, plastic containers, paper and the like in to the special white dumpster we are taking the environmental responsibility to not only achieve the Millennium Development Goal #7 by Ensure Environmental Sustainability but make our church and the world a little greener.
Legacy Society - The Legacy Society is a way to raise awareness of planned giving in the congregation and offers opportunities for individuals to witness to their good stewardship the future life and ministry of the church. It provides an opportunity to acknowledge and thank donors during their life times for making a bequest to their church.
